September 28, 2015 in Places. Caught sunrise in Chicago at Lincoln Park where the famous "Honeycomb" pavilion is located. I found out that it is actually designed after the tortoise shell, NOT a honeycomb. Either way, the structure fit the setting perfectly and framed the Chicago skyline beautifully. Location: Lincoln Park, Chicago.

Besides the Honeycomb, there are some beautiful gardens that glow during sunset throughout Lincoln Park. This little garden in the middle of Lincoln Park was the ideal, romantic, and hidden setting for some engagement photographs in Chicago. We were certainly moving about the park a bit to chase the light and get as much of the sunset as we could.

Wedding ceremony under the Honeycomb at Lincoln Park Zoo. Tayor and Ben waited to see each other until Taylor walked down the aisle, escorted by her mom and brother. Officiated by an old family friend, their ceremony was a beautiful celebration of their story, Taylor's family history, and the beginning of their future family.

The Honeycomb is a relatively unknown Chicago landmark located in the neighborhood, which is about a mile north of downtown. The sculpture is located in the Lincoln Park Zoo's Nature Boardwalk and is just east of the free outdoor zoo. The name of the structure is the "People's Gas Education Pavilion".
