Sienne l'Hiver opens with a cold crispness that smells like freshly crushed greens and sliced bell pepper on a tray of crushed ice. I also pick up on cilantro and a hint of an olive bar. There's more white musk in the top than what I'd like but it works out fine; it keeps the scent from being too salad bar-ish.

Depending on whose review you read of Sienne l'Hiver, it can have a million notes (I don't get the horse sweat, fortunately). It's very green, I get a little woodsmoke and maybe some quiet chestnut sweetness in the background. Speaking of scenes, do check out the hotel that commissioned the frags, Le Sirenuse, in Positano.
