The real Vera was built for the movie "Showtime" and heavily modified for Firefly. The base gun used was a Russian SAIGA auto-shotgun. Since I cannot legally own a Saiga in my country (and there are currently no airsoft replicas available) my build will be based on a Denix AK47 replica, which has a very similar receiver.

She isn't a replica of vera, she's more the real world equivalent. I built her during the assault ban, which ironically meant a meaner looking gun.

Vera is a heavily modified Saiga shotgun. So if you can ahold of an airsoft version, you can modify into a Vera prop. ^^. Try looking for STL files. This 300SL Gullwing recreation was built by the well known Anton 'Tony' Ostermeier. As a former Mercedes employee, Ostermeier had a workshop in Gardena, California called Gullwing Car Company.
