Has anyone here read David Gemmel's Troy trilogy? I just finished the last book Fall Of Kings and it was amazing. Easily the best historical fiction I've ever read (and I've read a lot). All of the characters were so compelling and interesting and each was given a satisfactory ending.

David Gemmell is a master of fallen heroes and human villains. His Troy trilogy is not his best work by any stretch, but still decent. I also love Guy Kay, but they are totally different authors in so many ways. Gemmell is full of fast, intense action and fight scenes. Kay writes a far more artsy and philosophical way with far less action.
