Deze gotische driehallenkerk is gebouwd tussen 1370 en 1452 met een toren van 113,5 meter hoog, was het de hoogste toren in Nederland, hoger zelfs dan de Domtoren. Verschillende blikseminslagen werden de toren fataal. In 1682 stortte de toren in waarbij twee traveeën werden vernield.
