The entrance to the parking lot is on Pacific Coast Hwy South of Encinal Canyon Rd. The parking lot is small and can fill up fast, but there is free.

El Matador Beach can also make for a perfect stop when driving along the Pacific Coast Highway. Or it can make for a perfect part of your day trip to Malibu from Los Angeles or from Santa Monica.. If you don't mind walking a bit (or a little more than a bit ;)) then you can even get to El Matador Beach by bus.. While the bus stop is a good 2 miles from the nearest bus stop, you can tell.
