A large well preserved Elizabethan house set within an extensive country park in Derbyshire, Hardwick Hall was first built and devised by four-times married "Bess of Hardwick", one of the most influential and richest women in 16th century England. The Hall is renowned for its large glass windows and fine tapestries.
