De Basiliek van de H. Nicolaas ( Sint-Nicolaaskerk) is een rooms-katholieke kerk in de binnenstad van Amsterdam. De kerk, officieel de H. Nicolaas binnen de Veste geheten, is gebouwd in de periode 1884 -1887 naar een ontwerp van de architect Adrianus Bleijs (1842-1912).

Door zijn koepel, omvang en locatie is het een kerk die door velen gezien en gekend wordt. In 2001 werd een grootschalige restauratie van de kerk voltooid.

The Oude Kerk, in the middle of the historic city centre, is a place for contemporary art and Amsterdam's oldest building. Over the centuries, the church grew from a small wooden chapel (circa 1250) to an extensive hall church (circa 1570). Today, the building is considered an important (inter)national monument.
