Instructions Begin by thawing out your puff pastry. Once it's ready for you to work with, roll it out on a floured surface, until it's about 12x12 inches big. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out shapes out of the puff pastry (I got about 12 hearts out of one sheet, to make 6 pockets).

Step 1 - In a bowl mix together cream cheese, raspberries or raspberry jam, powdered sugar and vanilla. Step 2 - Meanwhile separate crescent dough so dough is flat. Step 3- Use a cookie cutter to make heart shaped rolls. Step 4 - Grab the cream cheese mixture. Step 5 - Spread about 1 tablespoon of the blended cream cheese mixture over each.

Shaping the Pastries: Unwrap the thawed puff pastry and lightly flour your work surface. Use a rolling pin to flatten the pastry sheets and ensure it's smooth. Select two sizes of heart-shaped cookie cutters - one larger and one smaller. Use the large cookie cutter first and make as many heart shaped cuts as possible.

Instructions. Preheat oven to 400 °F for a convection oven, and to 425 °F for a regular oven. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or Silpat baking mats and set aside. Unfold the puff pastry dough. Roll out the dough to an even thickness with a rolling pin. Place the dough on a large cutting board.

Instructions. Preheat oven to 400°. Cut twelve 2" hearts from a sheet of defrosted puff pastry. Fill the center of 6 of the hearts with the chocolate hazelnut spread. Brush the edges with the whipped egg. Place an unfilled heart over the heart filled with the hazelnut spread. Seal the edges by crimping with a fork.

This way it will be ready for when the pastry hearts are done. It is best to frost the puff pastry dessert hearts while warm and right out of the oven.

Step 2: Cut out as many hearts as you can with your heart shaped cookie cutter. Gently prick the tops of the hearts with a fork.

Instructions. Pre-heat the oven to 375F/ 190C. Grease and flour or spray an 8 inch heart shaped cake pan or see notes below on making a homemade pan. Roll out pastry dough to flatten, using a small round cookie cutter cut out (2.5 inches or 6.5 cm) circles.

Using a pastry cutter, cut pastry into 6-8 hearts* and discard any scraps. Transfer hearts to prepared trays. With a pastry brush, lightly brush the pastry border with egg wash, then fold the edges.

Instructions. Preheat oven to 425°. Thaw pastry sheet wrapped in plastic overnight in the refrigerator, or at room temperature for 40 minutes or until easy to handle. Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. If there are any cracks in the pastry, sprinkle with water and press together to seal.
