The Jack Daniels mash comprises corn, rye and malted barley, which is distilled in copper stills. It is then filtered through 10ft stacks of sugar maple charcoal, which "mellows" the mash by. removing impurities and the corn taste. The precious alcohol is then stored in handcrafted oak barrels which gives the drink much of its colour and flavour.
