An initial hall of fame event in 2015 included the induction of musical legends Alfie Fromager, Clare Adlam, Brian Pawley, Hughie Elder, Jim Patterson and Elmer and Wilma Beckett.

Billy Bishop Museum and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 6, will host its 23rd Annual Honouring Our Local Veterans Ceremony (HOLV) ceremony at a free public event at Owen Sound Legion on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm. The venue opens at 1:30. You and your family can attend in person or view the ceremony on Cable channel 53 or archived.

The service will take between 60 to 90 minutes, Dixon said. Everyone is welcome to come to the legion after the service for fellowship in the Club Room, and if they stay until 2 p.m., there's a banquet which usually is a roast beef dinner, served by the ladies auxiliary, Dixon said. The meal is free to veterans, $16 for all others.
