The Blue Panaque Pleco, or the L239, is a freshwater fish found in the soft, acidic waters of Río Orinoco in Venezuela and Colombia, where it inhabit the surfaces and undersides of granitic bedrock and boulders. This species was first described in 2009 and named in honor of Chris Beggin, who supported the research work of the species.
