Posted: 11/20/2022 7:39:36 AM EST [#3] I have the magazine tube clamp mount on both of my Rossi lever rifles and they work fine. The barrel band sure does look nice, but I would have to see if the sling would wrap correctly when shooting if it were moved that far back.

A more elegant/traditional and proper way is to affix the rear swivel stud into the buttstock and for the front, ideally, into/from the forearm barrel band.. barring that, into the wood also, if possible.

i installed a nice 1 1/4" leather stap sling this year for my wife to carry the '92. i used an Uncle Mike's clamp on stud at the front that clamps onto the mag tube, problem is, it moves and i cant get it to clamp tight enough. i even used some blue lock-tite between the tube and the clamp like the directions suggest. lazyluke

The Rossi had an ejector spring that was so strong I think cases were ejected with escape velocity, even loaded rounds were tossed 12 feet or more away. I had gone to Home Depot and got one of their spring kits ( search "Rossi R92 50 cent action job" ) Harbor Freight spring on top, factory spring, and HF spring installed..

Working with a very low mileage, new to me, Rossi R92, 357 Magnum. A few notes as I become familiar with this dainty hard hitter and probably update any changes or corrections here in the future. Light, quick, possessed of a decent everyday use trigger (4 lbs 4 oz and relatively creep and wall free.), smooth enough as is, well fitted, pretty.
