Walk number 12, is a 2 mile walk between Matlock and Matlock Bath alongside the River Derwent and with a climb to High Tor with its spectacular views. Easy 2 miles Download Map From Matlock follow the fingerposts towards the town centre. Immediately after crossing the river bridge, take the wide path into Hall Leys Park.

Parking: Pay and display parking is available in several locations in Matlock. This four-mile walk starts in Matlock before heading to Matlock Bath over High Tor and back again. The walk has some stunning views and a few hills too. If you don't fancy the whole thing, you can catch a bus or train back to Matlock from Matlock Bath.

2. Climb High Tor in Matlock. Without doubt one of the main things to do when visiting Matlock or Matlock Bath is to climb up to High Tor. High Tor is a limestone crag and at 300 feet (92 m) it's one of the highest inland cliffs in England. Since the cliff is full of minerals, mining took place here for centuries.
