The Edmonton Weavers' Guild was founded in 1953 to encourage local weavers and spinners to meet, exchange ideas and learn. Initially meeting in member's homes, then the Southwest Cultural Centre, King Edward School and the Prince of Wales Armouries. Now we are located in the Strathcona Community League Hall, at 10139-87 Ave.

About Terri Bibby. Terri Bibby started weaving over 30 years ago in Edmonton when the quilting class that she wanted to take was full - but there was a spot in a weaving class. The Edmonton Guild has its present home in the Prince of Wales Armouries in Edmonton. The Armouries is a lovely heritage building, housing among other residents, the Archives of the City of Edmonton. Four weaving workshops meet bi-weekly, as well as two spinning groups.
